2 important news we want to share with you

This week has been rich in events for our organisation and the Microsoft Canada Partner community.

First, we are excited to announce than on top of being a Microsoft Gold Communications, Silver Productivity, we are now fully recognized as a full fledge Cloud Service Provider (CSP). We have decided to fully embrace the CSP model for the following reasons:

- You, our clients are increasingly looking for a one-time shop for all Microsoft-related expertise around existing solutions, licenses and deployment models. Moving forward, Solulan will not only deploy for you but also has the ability to provide you the licences you require for the deployment of all of your Microsoft cloud solutions, everything under one roof and one invoice.
- Microsoft is changing. The market is changing. Customers (you) do not want to only speak technology – but are looking to also speak ‘solutions’. Partners like Solulan build solutions around the Microsoft technology so you do not necessarily need to know about the detailed intricacies of the technology. What you care about is how does this solution fix your problem, provide value to your end-users, save you money and headaches and allows you to grow your business seamlessly?
-   The demand for Cloud services has never been this high, so it only makes business sense for a long-standing Microsoft partner like us to embrace the opportunity to become a CSP.

Finally, Microsoft Canada announced this week that the Microsoft Cloud is now officially open to power even more Canadian businesses. With this announcement, Microsoft Azure is generally available from local datacentre regions located in Toronto and Quebec City, and Office 365 is now offering data residency for Canadian business customers. In addition, Dynamics CRM Online is scheduled to go live by September 2016 to bring the most complete cloud, with leadership across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid scenarios, to enable people and organizations to achieve more.

For a lot of our Canadian customers, this announcement marks a significant expansion of Microsoft's trusted cloud services into Canada. Azure and Office 365 customers gain the benefits of Microsoft’s trusted cloud services combined with data residency in Canada. This includes data redundancy in multiple locations within Canada for business continuity and the option of a fast and private connection to the cloud with Azure ExpressRoute.

Solulan’s expertise has always been around the deployment and the support around Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. Now, workloads like Skype for Business which is part of the Office 365 suite which we deploy to a lot of Canadian business resides in Canada.

More than ever, the Microsoft cloud offers solutions, cost savings, efficiency, productivity and reliability. It enables organizations – of any size, and in any sector – to collaborate, compete and excel in an increasingly mobile world.

“From today on, our goal is to create Canada’s best and most complete cloud, enabled by world class technology and world class cloud ecosystem,” said Janet Kennedy, president of Microsoft Canada. “We’re privileged to work with our team of Canadian partners who are perfectly positioned to help our Canadian customers innovate, grow and transform their businesses.”
